The rising sun
Wakes me in the morn
Just as
The click of the clock
Kept me awake last night
I long to be held
In your arms one morning
The day drags on
The clouds overtake the sun
I sit on the cool grass
Thinking of you
Wanting to be laying beside you
My heart feels low
Lower than the grass
Knowing I can never
Hold you in my arms
The clouds disappear
The sun has set
I lay looking
At the twinkling of the stars
Thinking of the twinkle
In your eyes
Knowing my love
Will only grow stronger
Wanting to be
Holding you tightly
Needing to feel
Your lips on mine
Having no happiness
Without you with me
Hurting because
I never will have you
Crying because
No one can ever love me
As much as I love you
Needing, wanting, having
These are very different feelings
All have different aspects
I want to be able to stare
Into your blue eyes
Eyes like the sky
On a summer morning
I long to run my fingers
Through your blonde hair
Hair like fresh spun gold
It hurts to know I can never
Have you.
It hurts even more
To see you hurting
When you look at her
I must learn to live
Without you
Even though
With you around
There is an awakening
In my heart.
