Basketball

I've watched you jam the ball
Everytime it happens
I stand up and cheer
Yet my heart just falls
Mainly because this is your last year
I'll never get to see you play again
In my life
There may be other men
Yet you will always be deep in my heart
My love for you
Will never fail
I can sit and stare
At the moon so white and pale
And remember seeing you
Jump so high
To jam that ball
But my life still isn't fair
I'll never know you
Not truly and not like I want to.
We met but you never cared
I know you probably consider me a child
If so that's your problem
I have more to offer you than you know
Maybe someday if we take it slow
We can be together
I will always love you forever
