There is a star that shines ev-er-y night
Inside my lonely soul is where it lies
Yet it's hard to reach as if in the skies
Still in one place it's always shining bright
I can't forget how he was always right
Through all my careless sobbing sighs and cries
I could see he cared through his loving eyes
Yet now he's only an image of light
He left me lonely and very alone
My heart has turned to a great big hard rock
The sky that was once lit very brightly
Is now and always like that of a stone
For ev-er-yday that passes there's no clock
My heart no longer beats extremely lightly
