When we were together
I was truly happy
Now we are apart
I cried that night all the way home.
No one can possibly ease the pain
The pain deep in my heart
I feel like I am missing a part of myself
When we were together
You wouldn't let me cry
Now we are apart
I let the tears flow free
I want you with me through good and bad
I know you've made a home exactly where you are
But even if it is selfish
I want you with me

My skies were always blue and clear
Now we are apart
My skies are black and dismal
On the clearest of days
You made me see how to get along with everyone
Even your worst enemies
I fear though that together we will never be again
