I sit here
And wonder
How could this happen?
I have so many questions
That must remain unanswered
You cannot answer them
Just as I cannot answer them
If our hearts were still together
As strongly as before
Maybe
Just maybe
We could together figure out the answers
I want our friendship
Back the way it was
I need you in my life
I know it didn't seem that way
When I left you
But without you
My life is essentially empty
My heart beats slower
Knowing that we still have the anger
Between us
I've said it before
And I'll say it again
No one means more to me
Than you do
Maybe to yourself
You don't feel worth crying over
But I know you are
As long as I have you
I can and will be happy
I always try to act
Like I don't need anyone:
That I'm happy alone
I'm not
I honestly can't live
Without you.
